Abstract: Strontium carbonate particles were prepared by homogeneous precipitation method.The particles were characterized by electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD),and the influence of adding different crystal shape controlling agents on the morphology of strontium carbonate particles was also analyzed.The results indicated that rodlike and linear superfine strontium carbonate particles were prepared respectively by adding different crystal shape controlling agents with proper quantity.In addition,the prepared particles were of regular shape,good dispersivity,and uniform particle size.Especially,the effect while adding EDTA and cerium nitrate to prepare rodlike and linear strontium carbonate particles respectively was the best.
