Abstract: <P><FONT face=Verdana>Present status of nano-sized calcium </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>carbonate production in China was introduced,i.e.there are more than thirty enterprises to produce nano-sized calcium carbonate in China and their annual output exceeds 750 000 t;there are over 10 kinds </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>of production methods and the products have many crystal forms and morphologies,such as </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>spindle,needle,sphericity,interlocking,and flake etc.;advantages,such as rich limestone resources with excellent quality and </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>reasonable price,abundant energy sources,approaching to producing area of limestone,about eighty-</FONT><FONT face=Verdana>year′s production experience,rich human-and material</FONT><FONT face=Verdana>-resources,and numerous achievements in scientific research lay the good </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>foundation for China to develop nano-sized calcium carbonate;but there are </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>also some shortages of smaller scale,outdated production techniques and equipment,instable product quality,fewer species and </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>less economic benefit etc.in Chinese enterprises.Some suggestions for development of Chinese nano-</FONT><FONT face=Verdana>sized calcium carbonate industry have been proposed,such as using energy-saving carbonization process and equipment,selecting proper production scale and seting up a set of more </FONT><FONT face=Verdana>perfect detecting and analyzing devices etc..</FONT></P>
