Abstract: <FONT face=Verdana>Three-dimensional flowerlike boehmite(AlOOH)self-assembled by nano-flakes were synthesized using cationic surfactant,hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB) as structure-directing template via hydrothermal method.Crystal structures and morphologies of the boehmite were characterized by XRD,SEM,and TEM.Effects of reaction temperatures and times on morphologies were also investigated.Research results showed that flowerlike AlOOH with good dispersibility and uniform morphology was obtained at 160 ℃ for 24 h.Diameter of flowerlike AlOOH,whose architecture was self-assembledby nano-flakes with thickness of 50 nm,was 550~800 nm.It was found that the template agent CTAB played a key role for the growth of flowerlike AlOOH architecture.Growth mechanism of the flowerlike architecture self-assembled by nano-flakes was also discussed based on experimental results.</FONT>
