Research on ball milling modification technology of aluminum nitride powder by aluminum dihydrogen phosphate and phosphoric acid

Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体">Anti-hydrolysis aluminum nitride (AlN) powder was prepared by mechanical ball milling method with aluminum dihydrogen phosphate and phosphoric acid as modifiers,and stability of modified AlN powder in aqueous ball milling was studied.AlN powder before and after being modified was characterized by XRD and determination of nitrogen content.Factors,such as amount of modifiers,modifying time,and mass ratio of ball to powder influencing the modification effect were also discussed.Results showed that when mass ratio of ball to powder was 3</SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 宋体; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">∶</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体">1,modifying time was 2 h,and amounts of H<SUB>3</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB> and Al(H<SUB>2</SUB>PO<SUB>4</SUB>)<SUB> 3</SUB> were 2.5% and 1% of mass of AlN respectively,the best modification effect was gained;mass fraction of nitrogen was found to be 32.97% and there was no obvious Al(OH)<SUB> 3 </SUB>generation in XRD patterns when modified AlN powder was immersed in water at 60 </SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: 宋体; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-ascii-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-hansi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">℃</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体"> for 24 h,thus it proved that the anti-hydrolysis ability was significantly increased;mass fraction of nitrogen was about 32% and pH of the suspension was about 6 when modified AlN powder was milled for 16 h under high energy,which confirmed it also kept higher stability in process of high energy aqueous ball milling.</SPAN>
