Abstract: Kinetics of reversible esterification reaction between boric acid and methanol with lithium chloride as catalyst was studied by batch process.A simple method was established for fitting kinetic parameters of reversible reaction derived by integration method after linear processing to kinetic equation of reversible reaction.Changes of boric acid conversion rate with time were determined under different catalyst dosages and reaction temperatures,and reaction kinetics equation was obtained through linear fitting.Results showed that positive and reverse reactions′ activation energies were 49.5 kJ/mol and 23.6 kJ/mol,and pre-exponential constants were 6.71×10<SUP>5</SUP> L/(mol·min) and 68.4 L/(mol·min),respectively under the dosage of lithium chloride of 4%(mass fraction),initial concentration of boric acid and methanol of 0.924 2 mol/L and 24.99 mol/L respectively,and reaction temperature of 303~333 K.
