Abstract: Effects of experimental factors,which included carbonation temperature,mass fraction of Ca(OH)<SUB>2</SUB>,flow rate of CO<SUB>2</SUB>,shape control agents,and stirring speed,on particle size and morphology of cubic nano-sized calcium carbonate prepared with carbonation method were investigated in a stirring bubbling reactor.Nano-sized calcium carbonate crystal samples were characterized by SEM and XRD.Results showed that mass fraction of Ca(OH)<SUB>2</SUB> and shape control agent were the main effective factors on morphology;and carbonation temperature,flow rate of CO<SUB>2</SUB>,and stirring speed were the main effective factors on diameter.Cubic calcium carbonate with diameter of 30~80 nm could be prepared,under the optimal carbonation parameters as follows:carbonation temperature was 15~30 ℃,mass fraction of Ca(OH)<SUB>2</SUB> was 6%~11%,flow ratio of CO<SUB>2</SUB> per unit mass of CaO was 0.08~0.15 L/min and stirring speed was 200~400 r/min.
