Abstract: Low-melting sealing glass is an advanced sealing material,which is widely used in many fields due to its low melting temperature and sealing temperature,excellent mechanical strength and chemical stability.Content of lead monoxide is high in the current low-melting sealing glass.So it does harm to environment badly.Low-melting sealing glass with borate system can resolve these problems thoroughly.Application of borate in low-melting sealing glass was introduced.Borate was used not only as the main raw material of low-melting sealing glass,but also as the fluxing agent and modifier.Resource of borate is abundance in China and borate low-melting sealing glass will has a promising development prospect due to its excellent performance and higher additive value.
