Abstract: Status of Chinese titanium dioxide industry from 2007 to 2008 was stated.During to the factors,such as supply exceeding demand,price increasing of raw & auxiliary materials and energy,cost increasing of environment protection,and new regulation and control-policies issued by the government,titanium product benefit was cut down dramatically,companies was short in benefit,and production was forced to stop.Facing the current severe situation,suggestions were put forward:searching mineral sources;extending the upstream and downstream industry chain;increasing company′s strength and competitiveness by industrial regrouping;improving product quality level;realizing clean and civilized production through environment protection and comprehensive utilization;establishing access system for industrial energy consumption and scale.With the above suggestions,Chinese titanium dioxide industry will develop in a healthy and orderly way.
