Abstract: In production process of barium sulfate,traditional drying equipment is rotary dryer,which has many shortcomings,such as high energy consumption,environment pollution,and serious equipment corrosion.A new-type high energy-efficient and enviroment-friendly combination equipment—special spiral dryer and special disk-type continuous dryer was introduced.Working principle and drying process flow of the new-type dryer were expounded.Characteristics of the new-type dryer applied in drying of barium sulfate were analyzed and comparison between the new-type dryer and rotary dryer in terms of enviroment protection and energy saving was also made.Results showed the new-type dryer has higher thermal efficiency,less material loss,smaller plant area,very tiny dust,and lower coal consumption.
