Abstract: At present,cryolite production is in the coexistence situation of fluorine method and phosphorus chemical industry by-product method (silicon method).In order to improve resource utilization efficiency and production quality,new environment-friendly technologies like joint production of cryolite and high-quality silica etc.as well as many new techniques such as desilication,iron elimination,sulfate radical removing,fractional crystallization,cascade separation-adsorption of waste liquor,and ignition loss reduction,were researched and developed.Development of technology makes a good base for the upgrade of whole cryolite production level.New technologies opened up abundant new fluoride resources for cryolite production and development of silicon technology can not only save fluorine resources,but also by-products in phosphorus chemical industry can be utilized effectively,which in line with China′s recycling economy development pattern,at the same time,it is the objective requirement and an inevitable trend of developing cryolite production technology.
