Abstract: <DIV>Lithium cobaltate which is used in lithium-ion battery as positive can not be applied widely in the field of batteries with large power and high capacity because of its high cost,limited raw material,serious pollution,harmful as well as unreliability in case of overcharge.Spinel lithium manganate has been the ideal cathode material in replace of lithium cobaltate for lithium-ion power batteries due to its safety performance and low cost.Methods,existing problems,and correspon-ding solutions in preparing spinel lithium manganate were introduced,and development trend of lithium manganate as cathode material of lithium-ion power battery was forecasted.</DIV>
