Abstract: A thorough detoxification method for chromic residue by neutralizing and reducing it with titanic waste acid was introduced.The process is:chromic residue in a definite granularity is mixed with water to a certain concentration,then neutralizes it to a definite pH by titanic waste acid,finally,secondary neutralizing and pressing is adopted according to the technical demand.Water soluble chromium and total chromium not only could reach the discharging standard of Chinese National Standard in this technics,but also acid soluble chromium was able to be eliminated under a definite condition.Appropriate conditions were ascertained by industrialisation test,namely,the appropriate mass fraction of the particles whose size was less than 85 μm was over 95%,feasible proportion of reaction materials was m(chromic residue)∶[KG-*2]m(titanic waste acid)∶[KG-*2]m(reductant) = 1∶[KG-*2]4.03∶[KG-*2]0.30,and reaction time was 2
