Abstract: Many kinds of powder in inorganic chemical products need measuring of their apparent density.The difference of apparent density will mainly influence the service performance of products，and it will also affect the product′s package and transportation.This article introduces several kinds of methods of measuring apparent density of inorganic chemical products in China and manifests the advantages and disadvantages of these methods by analytical comparison.Currently the internationally-recognized method is international standard ISO 3595：1993 i.e.Metallic Powders——Determination of Tap Density.Now it has been transformed into national standard in China，and the job of establishment have already been finished.
