Synthesis and characterization technique of LiFePO↓4 cathode material

Abstract: The olivine lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO↓4) has the potential to be a new commercial cathode material for lithium ion battery due to its abundant resources,low cost,non-toxicity,environmental benignancy,high theoretical capacity,good thermal stability and excellent cycling performance.The synthetic methods of LiFePO↓4,such as high temperature solid state reaction method,sol-gel method,microwave radiation method,hydrothermal method and co-precipitation method,were summarized.The characterization techniques of LiFePO↓4,such as IR,SEM,XRD and electrochemical property analysis etc.were introduced in detail.
