Abstract: There are many methods to extract boric acid from the boron-containing solutions. The ion exchange method is considered the one of the most promising methods. At present, the ion exchange agents are mostly specific boron ion exchange resins, but their heat-resistant ability is not satisfying.A hydrated cerium dioxide with better heat-resistant ability and larger absorption ability was studied. Its absorption and elution ability of boron in the hot brine was investigated and satisfying result was obtained.
