Abstract: The beneficiation of phosphate ores containing carbonate gangue by conventional techniques, such as physical separation methods or flotation,is very difficult due to the similarities in physic-chemical properties of constituent minerals present in the system.Generally, sedimentary phosphate ores can be processed by calcinations and selective acid leaching methods. The selective leaching with acetic acid is a promising beneficiation way.Acetic acid was used to reduce the carbonate content of the phosphate rock,in order to enrich the content of P2O5.Experiment result indicated:the main factors of influencing acetic acid decompose dolomite were temperature, particle size, acid concentration, and reaction time etc..Under the optimal operating conditions,it was found that the mass fraction of P2O5 could be raised from 19.72% to 33.78% along with corresponding decomposition rate of dolomite 27.45%.
