Abstract: Summarized production methods of ordinary zinc oxide (including direct method，indirect method and wet method zinc oxide)，activated zinc oxide and nanometer zinc oxide as well as research progress thereof. Introduced the production technologies and methods of ordinary zinc oxide；and the features of activated zinc oxide as well as the improvement on its production method.Recounted the production of nanometer zinc oxide as well as research progress thereof，according to the classification of solid，gas and liquid phase.Reviewed the advantage and weakness of aforesaid production methods of zinc oxide.Meanwhile，previewed the prospects of research，production and application of those zinc oxide products.
