Abstract: A simple method of preparing anhydrous indium chloride was introduced.Anhydrous indium trichloride has been prepared by adopting boiling method with organic matter to remove the crystal water of indium chloride tetrahydrate，with the metal indium with the purity of 99.99% and hydrochloric acid as raw materials，cyclohexane as dehydrating agent.The experimental results showed that： the new method overcame the shortcomings of the traditional preparation methods，such as strict temperature control，complex equipment，low yield and serious pollution etc..It is characterized by easy operation，accessible equipment，short reaction time and high yield of indium trichloride etc.，which can reach more than 90%.
