Abstract: This article introduced the current situation of comprehensive utilization of gypsum resources in China.The development direction for comprehensive utilization and technology exploration of natural gypsum and industrially by-produced gypsum resources was put forward from the angle of efficient use of resources and enhancing the exploitation value of natural resources.Discussion has been made for comprehensive utilization and technology exploration of gypsum resources，in terms of the technology for joint production of cement in the production of sulfuric acid by natural gypsum，production of fine gypsum products with fine chemical technologies，comprehensive utilization of industrially by-produced gypsum，gypsum product′s purification equipment and calcination technology etc..(The level and value of comprehensive utilization for natural gypsum resource should be promoted and its low-level consumption should be controlled based on its characteristic of high purity)；awareness should be raised that the industrially by-produced gypsum is an utilizable resource，which will have great importance for natural gypsum saving，environment improvement，economic benefit increasing and sustainable development for enterprises.
