Abstract: Ferrate is a good water treatment agent.But ferrate has the properties of self-catalysis and instability etc，which hedges its long-time storage and wide use.In order to find a solution to stabilize the ferrate and to enlarge its scope of use，the inclusion complex of ferrate with β-cyclodextrin was prepared by saturated aqueous solution method.The optimal preparation conditions were determined through orthogonal experiment and the slow-release disinfection conditions of composite ferrate were also obtained as it can release slowly within a given period.The change of ingredients and inclusion effect of ferrate before and after included by β-cyclodextrin were analyzed through physical and chemical methods.The results showed that the ferrate-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex can release the ferrate effectively and maintain the higher release time and have good stability，which provide foundation for ferrate practically applied in water treatment.
