Abstract: A new technology that utilizing CO₂ from the boiler off-gas of paper making factory to jointly produce special precipitated calcium carbonate（PCC） for paper making was introduced.Not only the CO₂ emission was reduced and recovered， but also the demand of inorganic packing for paper making process was met and the production cost was reduced.At the same time，a lot of weak alkaline waste water from the PCC production process will be a very good boiler off-gas desulfurizer and paper effluent treatment agent.As the traditional paper making process and PCC production process have complementary advantages，on the one hand，the target of zero discharge‘three wastes’ or harmless emissions of the traditional paper factory will be realized，and on the other，good economic benefit and social benefit will be produced.It is worthy of further study.
