Abstract:

In order to synthesize the performance of TiO2 and BiVO4 photo-catalysts,a TiO2-BiVO4 composite photo-catalyst was prepared. And using ibuprofen as the target degradation product, the performance of TiO2-BiVO4 composite photo-catalyst was compared with that of TiO2 and BiVO4 photo-catalysts.TiO2 photo-catalyst was prepared by gelatin method using butyl ti-tanate as raw material and adding anhydrous ethanol, hydrochloric acid and deionized water.BiVO4 photo-catalyst and TiO2-BiVO4composite photo-catalyst were prepared with five water bismuth nitrate[Bi(NO33·5H2O] and ammonium vanadate (NH4VO3) asraw material by adding concentrated nitric acid and sodium hydroxide. This preparation method was simple and efficient.Under visible light irradiation, the photo-catalytic degradation of ibuprofen was carried out by using three kinds pho to-catalysts of TiO2,BiVO4 and TiO2-BiVO4 composite, and the photo-catalytic degradation of ibuprofen was also carried out by combining three kinds of photo-catalysts with hydrogen peroxide respectively. The photo-catalytic properties of the three photo-catalysts were investigated. The results showed that under the condition of no hydrogen peroxide addition, the photo-catalytic properties of the three photo-catalysts were from TiO2-BiVO4 composite photo-catalyst,TiO2 photo-catalyst to BiVO4 photo-catalyst in descending order. After adding electron capture agent H2O2,the efficiency of photo-catalyst degradation of ibuprofen was improved, the recombination velocity of electron hole pair was reduced, and the photo-catalytic performance of the three photo-catalysts was TiO2-BiVO4 composite,BiVO4 and TiO2 in descending order.
