Abstract: The water leaching strontium salt from lapis lazuli with carbon powder as reducing agent produced a large amount of waste residue and caused environment pollution.This method adopted acid to dissolve the waste residue to separate soluble strontium salt.Then strontium mother liquor was obtained by removing impurity through filtration.The mother liquor was carbonized under low temperature and strontium carbonate product was finally obtained by rinsing，filtering，and drying the clarified precipitate.This process made the strontium slag recovery more than 90%，and the product conformed to the requirement of Industrial Strontium Carbonate，HG/T 2969—2010.Because the strontium carbonate prepared by this process was small in particle size，it had a wider application and higher economic value.
