Study on properties of Ag3PO4-mesoporous  carbon photocatalytic composite

Abstract: Ag3PO4-mesoporous carbon photocatalytic composite was synthesized by coprecipitation method and with silver phosphate and mesoporous carbon.Physicochemical properties of the materials were characterized by SEM,TEM,and XRD etc..The analysis results showed that with the increasing of loading amount of mesoporous carbon,the size of silver phosphate granule got smaller.The samples of silver phosphate were showed as a body-centered cubic silver phosphate.The results also illustrated that the addition of mesoporous carbon into Ag3PO4 did not influence its crystal structure.It showed that the compo- site photocatalysts with the stable function could be obtained.Photocatalytic performances of the materials were also investi- gated by the way of N2 adsorption-desorption.The effect of different loading amounts of mesoporous carbon on photocatalytic activities was mainly investigated. It was also found that Ag3PO4-mesoporous carbon photocatalytic composite showed a better photo-degradation efficiency when the loading amount of mesoporous carbon was 10%.And the photocatalytic composites could be recycled.
