Abstract: ZSM-5 zeolite on alkaline-treated calcined kaolin microspheres(CKM) was in-situ synthesized by hydrothermal crystallization method. The effects of alkali treatment conditions on in-situ synthesis of ZSM-5 zeolite were investigated. The synthesized samples were characterized by XRD,FESEM,N2 adsorption-desorption,and NH3-TPD respectively. Results showed that alkali treatment conditions had significant impacts on the chemical compositions and morphologies of ZSM-5 zeolite.Small-sized ZSM-5 crystallites, with 0.8~1 μm in size and with 128 m2/g in specific surface area were optimally formed on CKM at 95 ℃ for 2 h using 7.4%(mass fraction) NaOH solution. The synthesized products had larger specific surface area, pore volume, and stronger acidity.
