Abstract: This work used the surface mine slat in Qarham Salt Lake to do dissolution experiments. The brine formula experiment for dissolution mine salt was finished under keeping brine steady seepage firstly, and the KCl content in product brine was about 1.79%(mass fraction) after dissolution; and the seepage coefficient was obtained as 1.767×10-6 m/s. The three-dimensional steady seepage finite element model was build for simulation brine seepage process with different pressure heads, and the simulation values were basically consistent with the experiment data and the maximum difference was not more than 4.5%. The analysis showed that the model and seepage coefficient were suitable for the dissolution process simulation of Qarham surface salt mine and could be use to design local dissolution experiment or production plan.
