Abstract:

Technical status and research progress of platinum based catalysts for dehydrogenation of low-carbon alkanes at home and abroad in recent years were reviewed.Firstly, the reaction mechanism of dehydrogenation of low-carbon alkanes and related side reactions was discussed from the perspective of thermodynamics. Then,Advantages and problems of platinum based catalysts for dehydrogenation of low-carbon alkanes were analyzed from three aspects:the relationship between the per-formance of active sites and catalytic dehydrogenation, the effect of supports such as alumina and molecular sieve, and the influence of additives such as tin, alkali metal, alkaline earth metal and transition metal on the catalyst. The deactivation reason of platinum based dehydrogenation catalyst was further investigated. Finally, the research prospects of platinum based dehydrogenation catalysts were prospected, and the main development directions of these catalysts were proposed, including reducing the loadingamount of precious metal platinum, improving the stability of catalysts and reducing the by-reaction of carbon deposition, etc.
