Abstract:

The nanocrystalline self-assembled CaWO4:Tb3+ microspheres were synthesized by solvothermal methods with wa-ter and N,N-dimethylformamide(DMF) as binary solvent and sodium succinate as auxiliary agent. The effects of the volume of N,N-dimethylformamide,the dosage of sodium succinate and the amount-of-substance fraction of Tb3+ on luminescence properties of CaWO4:Tb3+ were investigated in detail. The structure, morphology and properties of the product were character-ized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy(DRS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and photoluminescence(PL) and dark-box ultraviolet analyzar etc..The results showed that the product was nanocrystalline self-assembled CaWO4:Tb3+ microspheres with the tetragonal structure, which could be obtained after solvothermal treatment with 5 mL DMF as solvent and 1.2 g sodium succinate as additive. The microsphere showed a strong emission peak at 257 nm and a strong fluorescence emission peak near 546 nm.The fluorescence intensity of the microspheres was 3.8 times higher than that of the corresponding product without sodium succinate.
