Study on preparation and industrial side line experiment of isodewaxing and hydrofinishing catalysts for lube base oil

Abstract:

Industrial scale-up of isodewaxing and hydrofinishing catalysts were successfully prepared on the basis of pilot catalysts.An industrial side line experiment of isodewaxing and hydrofinishing catalysts was carried out relying on the 4.0×105 t/a lubricating base oil unit of CNOOC Huizhou Petrochemical Co.,Ltd..The influences of liquid hourly space velocity,reaction temperature and reaction pressure on the performance of catalysts were investigated.Results showed that the yield of products and total lube base oil were more than 98% and 76% respectively,with a 3.4% and 1%~2% higher than industrial equipment under the reaction conditions of LHSV=1.0~1.3 h-1,reaction temperature of 320~335 ℃,reaction pressure of 12~14.5 MPa and volume ratio of hydrogen to oil of 590:1 and the production could satisfy the requirement of commercial production to its properties.After 1 500 h running,the catalysts exhibited stable performance.Reaction temperature increased only 1 ℃.The overall performances of the catalysts were comparable to that of the reference catalysts,and the industrial side line experiment had been successfully completed.
