Abstract: <SPAN lang=EN-US style="FONT-SIZE: 10.5pt; FONT-FAMILY: "Times New Roman"; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 宋体; mso-font-kerning: 1.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: ZH-CN; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA">Whisker is one of the important intensifiers in compound materials,and its preparation technology and application have been paid much attention by scholars at home and abroad.Currently,researches on development and application of inorganic whiskers are very active.As an environment-friendly material,calcium sulfate whisker attracted attentions of more and more researchers due to its excellent performance and low cost.Comparing with other short fiber materials,calcium sulfate whisker has higher performance-price ratio and broader application prospect.Characteristics of calcium sulfate whisker were emphatically introduced.Preparation methods,raw materials,and applications of calcium sulfate whiskers were summarized.Problems and solving approaches in the process of preparation were also analyzed,and development direction of preparation method and application of calcium sulfate whiskers was put forward.</SPAN>
