Phase equilibrium in ternary system (Mg2+//Cl- , borate —H2O) at 323.15 K

Abstract: Solubilities and physicochemical properties including density,refraction,pH,and conductivity for the aqueous ternary system (Mg2+//Cl- , borate —H2O) at 323.15 K have been investigated by isothermal equilibrium method.On the basis of the experimental data,the equilibrious phase diagram and composition diagram of physicochemical properties were plotted.Conversion phenomenon of Mg-borates had been found and the amount of substance ratio of B2O3 to MgO was used to express the conversion.In the phase diagram of the ternary system,there were one invariant point (bischofite+Mg-borates),two univariant curves (corresponding to solubility curves of Mg-borates and bischofite), and two crystallization regions (bischofite and Mg-borates)at 323.15 K. 
