Process calculation of chemical products derived from comprehensive utilization of nepheline-syenite

Abstract: Materials balance among the chemical products of sodium carbonate,potassium sulfate,and potassium dihydrogen phosphate was calculated for Gejiu nephelinesyenite by applying iteration formula of Excel.As a result,water evaporation volume in the process of carbonation precipitation mother liquor of Gejiu nephelinesyenite was obtained and composition,productivity and quality at the balanced state of materialfluid through multicirculation were acquired,which provided the criteria for determining process parameters and for the project technicaleconomic analysis.With the capacity of 50 kt/a alumina as calculation benchmark,capacities for sodium carbonate,potassium sulfate,and potassium dihydrogen phosphate produced by the comprehensive utilization of Gejiu nephelinesyenite,were calculated to be 16.05 kt/a,634 t/a,and&nbsp; 56.7 kt/a respectively with mass fractions at 94.40%,95.82% and 93.03% accordingly.Excel iteration formula was adopted and the results derived from materials balance calculation could be adjusted automatically based on the basic data.The calculation was fast and easy to command.<BR>
