Abstract: <FONT face=Verdana>In production of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid process,the key of product′s quality control lies in three main aspects:purification of materials,particle size，and size distribution and surface treatment.From the three aspects,causes of poor quality of a plant′s titanium dioxide product were analyzed,which mainly included low[WT5.25BZ][JX-*6][KG-*2/3]-[KG-*3][JX*6][WT5"BZ]grade titanium ore,outdated titanium liquid purification technology and equipment,transforming agent dispersed unevenly in crystal form transformation process,unreasonable metatitanic acid washing process,and different calcination strength of each kiln etc..In response to these problems,a series of technical programs in favor of improving quality of titanium dioxide by sulfuric acid process had been proposed from the angles of technology and equipment respectively and production equipment had been remodified as well.After implementation of those programs,quality of titanium dioxide had been greatly enhanced,i.e.product impurity reduced,particle size became thinner,size distribution was narrower,and dispersion and hiding power etc. was also obviously improved.</FONT>
