Abstract: Using oxalic acid as precipitator and neodymium chloride as raw material to make neodymia (Nd2O3) is traditional method. In recent years,in order to reduce the cost of production, some enterprises selected ammonium hydrogen carbonate as precipitator. However,a part of physical properties of neodymia produced by this method can′t reach the consumer′s requirement.By means of making an intensive study on the technology about making neodymia via oxalic acid precipitation method,it was found that the product performances were totally identical while using mixed oxalic acid and ammonia as precipitator comparing with using single oxalic acid as precipitator.Meanwhile unit consumption of oxalic acid could be dropped by 0.32 kg/kg (Nd2O3),cost of production could be dropped by 3 240 yuan per ton,and yield of neodymia could be risen by 0.8%.So the method of using mixed precipitator has obvious economic benefits. 
