Abstract: In order to simplify titanium dioxide exhaust treatment process and to improve emission performance, secondary washing water was used as spraying water for exhaust, and spraying water was recycled for primary washing water. In this way the waste exhaust heat was fully used and  consumption of steam was reduced. It was estimated that 5,976 t of steam will be saved annually, which equal to 703,000 yuan/a approximately (as the calculation standard to a hourly output of 1.8 t of titanium dioxide). In addition,it can streamline the process and save cold water tower maintenance cost about 100,000 yuan/a by cancelling cold water tower in original process. The two measures can create a total economic benefit of about 803,000 yuan/a.The implementation of this  program can reduce emission temperature, decline environmental protection pressure, and more importantly it can create substantial economic benefits in saving energy, reducing consumption, and lowering maintenance cost. Therefore,it has great practical value of production
