Research progress on coal-fired flue gas desulfurization technology

Abstract:

Coal-smoke air pollution is the main type of air pollution in China,the SO2 released from coal burning has caused serious harm to human health and ecological environment system etc.Therefore,it is crucial to control SO2 emissions.The coal consumption and SO2 emissions in recent years in China were analyzed.The emission sources of SO2 and the application status of flue gas desulfurization (FGD) technologies were summarized and the characteristics and scopes of application of wet,semi-dry and dry FGD technologies were analyzed.The development of FGD technologies at home and abroad was reviewed.The principles,research status and development prospects of the limestone-gypsum method,the ammonia method and the circulating fluidized bed method of traditional FGD technologies and the ionic liquid circulation absorption method,the sodium phosphate salt method,the copper oxide method of the new FGD technologies were discussed in details respectively.The technological characteristics and economy of the above FGD technologies were compared and the future development direction of FGD technologies in our country was also presented.
