Abstract: Vanadium was extracted from stone coal which was got from the bottom layer of a stone coal vanadium ore in the West of Hunan Province by direct acid leaching technology with three kinds of fluoride aid-leaching reagents.Structures and morpho- logies of leaching residue were studied by XRD and SEM,and contents of 18 kinds of elements were measured by ICP-AES experiments.Further vanadium extracted study was carried out with NaF and CaF2 as aid-leaching reagents,respectively.Ex- tracting of vanadium and removal of impurities in each step were studied by ICP-AES experiments of solutions in every step.

Key words: vanadium, stone coal, direct acid leaching, fluoride aid-leaching
