Abstract: The content of silicon(Si) in Inner Monglia oil sand tailings was close to 85%,that was calculated in the form of silica. The process of preparation for sodium silicate by using the silica in the Inner Mongolia oil sands as the raw material under low temperature was designed.Through single factor and orthogonal experiment, the degree of influences of technological conditions on modules of soluble silicate and deliquescent rate of SiO2 was in order of reaction temperature>material mix ratio (amount?鄄of?鄄substance ratio of Na to Si)>reaction time. With modules of soluble silicate as the detecting indexes, the optimal conditions were as follows:the reaction temperature was 800℃,the reaction time was 1 h,and the material mix ratio was 2. Under the optimal conditions, the module of sodium silicate was 2.764.With deliquescent rate of SiO2 as the detecting indexes, the optimal conditions were as follows:  the reaction temperature was 800 ℃,the reaction time was 2.5 h,and the material mix ratio was 2.Under the optimal conditions, the deliquescent rate of SiO2 was 87.6%.
