Abstract: Attapulgite/graphite composite material electrode was prepared successfully with acidized attapulgite powder and expanded graphite powder as raw materials and with epoxy resin as binder. The morphology and structure of as-prepared attapulgite/graphite composite material electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and infrared spectroscopy etc..The influences of different types of electrode material，concentration time，and parallel testing times on the peak current of phenol in simulating wastewater were investigated.Comparing with ordinary graphite electrode，the response peak current of the electrode was much more obvious in phenol simulating wastewater.The electrode had higher stability and was more environmental friendly.
