Improvement of determination of iron content in LiMn2O4 by ICP method

Abstract: The iron content in LiMn2O4 for lithium-ion battery cathode material is determined by ICP method which eliminates the matrix interference by using standard addition method instead of standard curve method and background interference by choosing the appropriate spectral line,and ensures the measurement accuracy by taking an appropriate amount of samples.Through the comparison of the measurement results between the improved ICP method and spectrophotometry,it indicates that this method is feasible and the measurement results are reliable.
