Abstract: Lepidolite from Yichun,Jiangxi was calcinated by uniformly mixing with improved sulfates(several different kinds of sulfate mixed in a fixed proportion) to extract lithium. After calcination, crashing, leaching with dilute  acid solution and filtration,lithium-containing sulfate solution was obtained.Lithium contents from the leached solution and the leached residue were detected respectively, and the leaching rate of lithium oxide was calculated. Results showed that the extraction rate could be as high as about 95% when taking potassium sulfate and calcium sulfate as the sulfate mixture and under such conditions as mass ratio of lepidolite to sulfates of 1∶ 0.45,calcination temperature of 900 ℃,and calcination time of 1 h.
