Abstract: Studied a method how to prepare chromium oxide green through chromium-containing waste liquid generated from the production of β-methylnaphthoquinone.First,use glucose solution to reduce the chromium-containing waste liquid of β-methylnaphthoquinone,then put it together with urea under 140 ℃,and 0.4 MPa for about 1 h to synthesize chromium hydroxide, and roast the chromium hydroxide at 1 000 ℃ to make chromium oxide green. The product′s quality, color difference, and intensity were inspected according to the Industrial Chromium Oxide HG/T 2775—2010 and Comparison of Colour of Pigments GB/T 1864—1989,respectively.Results showed the color difference and intensity of the sample were 0.27 and 98.47%,respectively.
