Abstract: N-octanol and kerosene mixtures were selected as the novel and high-efficient solvent for extracting and purifying wet process phosphoric acid. The relation between phase ratio(volume ratio of extraction agent to phosphoric acid)and extracting temperature with extraction efficiency and separation coefficients of impurities in the purification of wet process phosphoric acid was studied. The effects of sulfuric acid and iron two impurities on extraction efficiency and distribution ratio were investigated. Results showed that the extraction efficiency of phosphoric acid and separation coefficients of impurities increased with the increasing of phase ratio. The extraction efficiency and distribution ratio of phosphoric acid were both in a decline trend while increasing extracting temperature and content of iron The presence of sulfuric acid was in favor of phosphoric acid extraction. The purpose of this systematical research on the basic process of N-octanol and kerosene mixtures extracting wet process phosphoric acid is to provide a theoretical and technical support for designing industrial application route.
