Abstract: Application of precipitated silica in rubber products was introduced and development direction of precipitated silica in future was also pointed out.As the reinforcing filler,precipitated silica has excellent reinforcing performaces in white-and light-fillers due to its large specific surface area,high activity,special surface character,morphostructure as well as special physical-and chemical-properties.It has been widely used in the fields of rubber soles,tyres,rubber tubes,adhesive tapes,rubber roll,rubber seal pipe and so on.With the elevation of environmental consciousness and development of tyre industry,especially the development of ‘green tyre’,application fields of precipitated silica will be extended and many special breeds will be produced so as to meet the needs of different consumers.Development direction of silica is in high dispersivity,fineness, granulation,and surface modification.  
